I drew 21 characters. 21. Because it's commemorative. So. Are you ready for some tl;dr? Characters above are as follows:

1&2 - Yoh Asakura and Anna Kyouyama

First OTP ever. See: volumes 19 and 20 of Shaman King. The series wore me out with all the ridiculously LONG battles (eh, shonen manga) but I always come back to reading it because I think Hiroyuki Takei is amazing when it comes to character moments.

3&4 - Kazuma "Kazu" Mikura and Ringo Noyamano

Air Gear representatives! I don't do ecchi (avoid it most of the time) but Oh!Great has my respect with the character art (and the backgrounds, if he does them himself). Ringo was my first female favorite, so here she is in the outfit she wore in her first appearance as a member of Sleeping Forest. And Kazu is there because... because he made beanies awesome.

5-9 - Machi Kuragi, Yuki Souma, Kakeru Manabe, Kimi Toudou, Naohito Sakuragi

AKA THE STUDENT DEFENSE FORCE SHYEAH! I hardly ever do any fanart of Fruits Basket so I thought I ought to do some of this most horribly under-appreciated bunch. They're one of the many reasons I love this series. And Kakeru is in the center because he's a bit of a spotlight-hogger. (sorry, Yun-yun)

10 - Shikamaru Nara

I haven't actually seen/read Naruto yet (will be remedied), but I've seen bits of the anime. The Shikamaru vs. Temari battle during the Chunin exams made a big impression on me. Lazy ninja genius kicks some crazy ass.

11-13 - Black Star, Maka Albarn, Soul Eater Evans

Yeah, my Soul Eater top three. <3 The storyline is picking up again, and for that I am happy. One of the things I like about Ookubo is his creative (crazy) paneling. The latest chapters do not disappoint.

14&15 - Lavi and Lenalee Lee

Before Soul Eater, there was D.Gray-man. This series got me back into drawing again after a really long (and painful) artblock. I kind of ship these two. Like that's surprising.

16&17 - Koki Kariya & Uzuki Yashiro

Fandom, you should show these two more love, seriously. I really like drawing them; their poses always get kinda wacky. I demand a Reaper-centric sequel. Please?

18-20 - Kanji Tatsumi, Ai Ebihara, and Naoki Konishi

Persona 4 representatives! Gotta show the other characters some love, right? I like picturing these three together. The label "delinquents" always comes to mind. Also, it's Kanjay, baby~

21 - ....

July 14, 3AM. A storm caused the suspension of classes later in the day, but at that early hour it flooded three of the rooms at our place. Armed with a sponge squeegee and an ipod set to Ram Jam's Black Betty, I did my part by mopping up the waterlogged carpets of my parents' room till about 5AM.

Nice way of starting the last day of my 20th year of existence.
